So lately, I've encountered few quotes on beauty and I admit I kinda have to agree with some and disagree with some.
Okay, kita mulakan dengan ini,
"Because at the end of the day, all we care about, is looks ! No one falls in love with your personality at first sight."
I mean like c'mon people seriously, semua orang jatuh suka for looks. And when you have that looks that 'satisfy' people, thats when you go to 2nd stage which is fasa Taaruf. People usually want to know us better if we have that look yg kononnya lawa/hensem and layaklah berkawan dgn dorang (wth). So katalah muka kita ni buruk, there'll be no 1st step and apatah lagi sesi Taaruf tu (which I belive only stupid people does this concept).
Sbb in Islam, the beauty of ukhuwah is when you befriend with someone without any specific interest. Tapi, lillahitaala. Niat asal was untuk Dia.
Tapi, sayang seribu kali sayang, at the end of the day, its not about looks.
"Choosing people based on their appearance is like picking breakfast cereal based on their colors and not their tastes."
Weh takkanlah beauty is everything you can offer ? How about your personality, your intelligence, your compassion for others, your dignity and how you portray yourself as a muslim ? That counts. In the end, that is what matters.
You dont go around saying hey you're ugly, you're beautiful determining for others like that.
Because everyone, every single person is beautiful in their very own unique way.
"Beauty lies in the eye's of beholder"
Kalau dia kata kita tak cantik, then theirs are not the eyes of the beholder of our beauty. Simple.
Lets feel good about ourselves, improve our qualities within and just don't live up to people's expectation.
